Taste of Atlanta Recap — Eating Through Atlanta

I feel like I am still recovering from attending what feels like foodie Christmas. Does foodie Christmas not register to you? Well it's an event called Taste of Atlanta. So what is this magical thing called Taste of Atlanta?

TOA is the Atlanta's must-do food, wine, beer and cocktail festival that showcases the diversity of Atlanta restaurants and attracts food lovers from Atlanta and beyond. Over three days, more than 90 neighborhood favorites use this event to show off their most craveable dishes, local chefs strut their stuff on four live demo stages and Grand Tasting Experience patrons hit boozy nirvana sampling craft beers, wine and creative cocktails.

This year I was only able to attend on Saturday, but even just going one day was incredible. Restaurants like Bon Glaze, Poke Burri, The Halal Guys, Hampton & Hudson were all there, as well as some of my favorite beverage companies. I wasn't able to try every tent, but I honestly wish I could have. To that end, I've included some pictures of my favorite dishes from the places I did try below.

Besides trying all of these yummy bites and cocktails that TOA had to offer, I had a chance to stop by the Almond Breeze tent where I was able to try some dishes all made with almond milk. Seriously who would've thought recipes with almond milk would taste just as good, if not better than regular milk? My personal favorite were the banana pudding and the grits + waffles. Sometimes I have sensitivity to regular milk, so I'll definitely be trying to recreate these recipes at home. If you want the recipes, you can find them at the bottom of this blog post!

If you decide to go next year, my foodie tip to you would be to get there as soon as the gates open since as the day got longer the line to get in got longer and you get first dibs on such great food.
