Meet New Realm Brewing - ATL's Newest Brewery
We all know my love for the ATL brewery scene. That's why when I heard there was one coming that would be planted right on the Atlanta Beltline a rocks throw from Ponce City Market - I was waiting on the edge of my seat for it to open. Now that brewery has finally opened, I'm happy to introduce you to New Realm Brewing.
Not only is New Realm a stunning new brewery with inspiration from Mitch Steele’s world-class beers, they have a full food menu with delicious offerings. While I was checking out this new spot, I tried the Perun Pale Ale and loved it. From a food perspective I tried the crispy corned beef egg rolls, the cheddar crusted mac & cheese and finally, the Radegast burger.
Let's begin with the crispy corned beef egg rolls. They are egg rolls filled with crispy corned beef (duh.), as well as sauerkraut and Swiss cheese. While I am not usually a huge Sauerkraut fan - these were honestly so good I almost ate them all before I could snap this shot for you guys. These yummy egg rolls are served with a creamy Sriracha sauce.
Now, to the cheddar crusted mac & cheese. I'm sure you're thinking yeah, yeah this is just some creamy mac & cheese what's so special about it? I WILL TELL YOU. What makes this so special is the Belgian Amber glaze that they put on top of it. It basically gives it almost a hint of a caramel taste to it. It sounds weird - just try it. You won't be disappointed.
Finally, my favorite dish of the day - the Radegast burger. This house-ground double patty is topped with copious amounts of melted white cheddar cheese, house-made sour pickles and special sauce. I took one bite and cheese and sauce just went everywhere. Definitely my kind of burger.
That's all I've got from a food perspective, but I will say that I've heard the brussels sprout ceaser salad was supposed to be amazing too, but after that burger - I was on a train to eat all of the non green things.
From a space perspective - I wasn't kidding when I said it's right on the Beltline. This two story building very much has an industrial feel, but that's what makes it unique. On top of this building is my favorite spot, the patio. It looks right on to the Downtown and Midtown skylines, The Who Ponce City Market and it's great place to people watch Beltline goers. Once they officially open on Monday, January 8, 2018, and it gets just a little warmer, you will be able to find me on that upstairs patio, sipping on a beer and people watching on the Beltline.
