ATL Airport Restaurant Crawl
Last week, I had the pleasure of doing a restaurant crawl at Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport! During this crawl myself + some other awesome ATL food bloggers got to go to 5 different airport restaurants to sample their food, drinks and other fun things. The purpose of this food crawl was a preview for the upcoming Taste of Hartsfield-Jackson, which will be held at the airport on November 8th!
Taste of Hartsfield-Jackson will give attendees the opportunity to taste bites from 30+ airport eateries. In addition to the food + live tunes, all event proceeds will benefit No Kid Hungry! Click here to buy tickets to the event.
At the crawl, we explored the following restaurants:
Jekyll Island Seafood Company:
Those who go to Jekyll Island Seafood Company while waiting for their flight can get a taste of the local coast. We tried yummy salmon, shrimp and grits, a grouper sandwich and a shrimp cocktail
2. Mustard Seed BBQ
The next stop on our crawl was to probably some of the best BBQ I have ever had. Can you believe that their restaurant actually has a smoker?! You know that means it must be good. Also pro tip: order the banana pudding.
3. Chicken + Beer
Chicken + Beer’s owner Ludacris, is serving up such good fried chicken that it’ll have you saying “Welcome to Atlanta where the players play”. You can wash down the fried chicken dishes with their yummy fruit frozé.
4. Bobby’s Burger Palace
You know Bobby Flay? Like THE Bobby Flay. He has decided to grace ATL’s airport with a new location for his burger joint Bobby’s Burger Palace. My favorite part is that they have burgers that represent different areas of the USA. My favorites include the L.A. Burger and the Bobby Blue Bacon Burger. PRO TIP: Get one of the milkshakes for sure.
5. Low Country New Southern Cuisine
Our final stop on the restaurant crawl was Low Country. Looking for a home cooked southern meal before a flight? This is your stop! We had all of the fried chicken, mac + cheese and all the veggies.
If this was our experience for the food crawl, I can only imagine what taste of Hartsfield-Jackson will be like! Click here for a full list of food options at the Atlanta Airport! And don't forget to grab tickets to the Taste of Hartsfield-Jackson event on November 8th.
