Hi!

Welcome to my blog. I document my adventures in food. Hope you have a nice stay!

The Original Hot Dog Factory

The Original Hot Dog Factory

Fun fact: hot dogs may actually be my favorite comfort food. That's why when I heard about The Original Hot Dog Factory (OHDF), I knew I had to make a trip to visit them. This hot dog haven is nestled in Smyrna, GA (maybe 7 minutes from Suntrust Park) and is a hidden gem. When you first walk in you are met by a welcoming "hello" from the OHDF team and then a menu board consisting of 21 hot dog options ranging from the original "All American" hot dog to a Jamaican Jerk Chicken hot dog. No joke - it was so hard for me to pick which hot dogs I wanted because they all sounded so delcious!

After staring at the menu for what easily could have been 10 minutes, I decided to try the Chicago Dog, Taco Dog and the California Baby Dog. Below you'll see pictures of what each hot dog looks like when you get it and descriptions detailing what the toppings are that you can expect on them. Enjoy!

If I could have ate any more I would have tried their Detroit Coney Dog (topped with their chili, shredded cheese and chopped onions) as it's a customer favorite, or tried one of their desserts -  they have deep fried Twinkies, y'all!

To see all of the amazingly delcious hot dogs that they are whipping up, be sure to check out their Instagram page and Facebook page.

Cheers!
