Atlanta's 30th Taste of the Nation for No Kid Hungry
Last night, I had the pleasure of attending Atlanta's 30th Taste of the Nation for No Kid Hungry event at the Cobb Galleria. Where the drinks were flowing, there was tasty food everywhere you turned and no shortage of supporters of the Share Our Strength's No Kid Hungry campaign. Leading the supporting charge were Honorary Chef Alton Brown, producer, author and Food Network host, and Honorary Chair Evander Holyfield, Olympic medalist, entrepreneur, and the only 5x Heavyweight Champion of the World.
From a food and drink scene experience, attendees were able to try gourmet samplings from more than 50 of Atlanta’s most celebrated chefs, as well as live, silent and beverage auctions and wine tastings. Below are some of my favorite dishes + wine from: El Felix, Beetlecat and O-Ku, which were delicious with Emerald Hare's rosé wine.
While all of the food and drink were incredible, I think my favorite part of the event was that 100% of proceeds went to supporting the Share Our Strength’s No Kid Hungry campaign to end childhood hunger in America. Now can I get a cheers to that?
